A $25 million new primary school facility in the heart of Legana. A new facility to enhance community outcomes and support a high growth urban area.
Legana Primary School is a brand new facility just outside the main urban area of Legana, TAS. Rare were engaged to carry out a range of services including civil, structural, hydraulic and superintendents representative services.
The project included six main interconnected buildings (including a new gymnasium), landscaped play areas, roads and carparking and infrastructure delivered across an early works package and a main works package. Being an architecturally led project we worked closely with the department of education (DECYP), West Tamar Council and the principal architect in a collaborative effort to plan, design and implement a holistic design including site wide planning for infrastructure, integration with the future adjacent sports complex facility.
Rare also provided technical advice into to the AFL sports field and supporting services to adjacent infrastructure projects for the local council. It is a rare opportunity to be able to contribute in such manner to the community and the entire project has been shaped by the careful planning and vision of engineering excellence provided by Rare and its employees.
